They're bailing us out. His previous club wanted more out of us, Olympiakos took him as a favour.

I seem to remember that Dier wanted to return to his parent club because he wanted to play first team football and he knew he wasn't going to get it at that stage of his career at Everton. That said we could have signed him with an agreement to loan him back.

He was never going to play in the first team at that age, he doesn't for Spurs every game now. If we wanted him we could have signed him but we didn't. It's not the same as Moyes sending him back because he wasn't good enough.
