I'm still trying to figure this out - we couldn't get him on transfer, so Olympiakos got him and then loaned him to us presumably to sell in a year or two?

I don't claim to ITK, but a lad in work has some club connections and told me that basicly Henen didn't want to go and was really gutted, Martinez didn't want to spend £3 million on him but felt sorry for the lad as he was really, really upset. We agreed to loan him as Henen insists he'll prove he's worth more than £3 million and that we should buy him. Weird I know, but basicly he cried and Martiz felt a bit owl arse!

Oh ffs, you're serious with this utter excrement ?

Bills problem was using the word 'ringfenced' when what he should have said was 'the banks/financial institutions will release the money if they think Mr Greggs plans are acceptable. ' And they weren't. Do you have another conspiracy theory? Anyway...wrong thread, wrong time, onward !!

So the Greeks bought him for 3m and loaned him to us for 1.5m with a view to selling him to us for 500k at the end of the season ? l Shrewd bastards them Greeks lar
The greeks didnt buy him, henen terminated his contract and they paid a small amount of compo, if we had to pay compo it wouldve been a fortune

Think the Greeks paid £1m-£1.5m.

If they did pay 3 you can tell why the country's in a financial crisis. That and the free drinks they always give you.

That would be the guess...however, if he turns to be a Ronaldo this year, good luck with that if there is nothing written in stone! ;)
