Max Clayton has a lot of potential, really raw though. If he impresses he'll be a really good addition to the youth squad along with Galloway, Henen and hopefully Joe Gomez. If Gomez and Clayton happen i'll certainly be using my season ticket perk to go and see the youth a lot more regularly.
 
i work in crewe and the lads in here, although maybe slightly bitter about this, dont think Clayton's up to much.

Hes too small etc etc, terrible attitude, needs a few seasons in the lower leagues etc etc

Never seen the kid kick a ball so ill reserve any judgement
 
I cant imagine Crewe are asking for too much, they'd be unlikely to get more than a couple of million at tribunal. If Wolves and Sunderland backed off then it seems to point to his abilities surely?

No disrespect for sunderland or wolves but seriously as a young lad who knows he is wanted by a few clubs had the chance to get a contract at Everton why would he commit to those prior clubs when he has the chance to come here?

The lad and his agent are probably just getting him through the trials, and then assessing his options, which is how it usually happens.
