Currently watching Bowie on BBC...easily the greatest solo artist in my lifetime. Got the Ziggy album for my 10th birthday in 1973 and have been very fortunate to have seen him live a couple of times.

I was exactly the same age when I heard the album
I was in my mums mates and her daughter who was about 17 at the time had just bought the album. I walked into the living room and Five Years started playing, I think I listened to the album with her about 2 or 3 times
Also very lucky to see him on various occasions, I think the Ajax Arena being the most memorable

I do like a lot of the music she plays, but Mary Anne Hobbs is so incredible pretentious, with her mimsy voice and sycophantic interviews. Drives me mad.
