I was bein sarcastic mate, not something that is always obvious on an internet forum i suppose.

Interesting set of opinions here.

I'm not so sure the guy has "attitude" problems. I think when he passed up playing for his country (U21's wasn't it?), a lot of people got on his case for that. But I don't recall where this guy has been a trouble maker.

In addition, I look at a player like this with bags of skill and the first thing I wonder is "How would he do under David Moyes?"

There's something about playing for Everton under Moyes that causes our players to check their ego's at the door and play for the team. If Bentley had some supersized ego (which I'm not so sure about) I still think he could flourish playing for us and for Moyes.

Obviously, the big question would be what would the price tag be and what would his weekly wages be?

But never, ever discount the Moyes factor when thinking about how a player may or may not fit with the Everton work ethic and "all for one" mentality.

He drifts in and out of games too much for me. I don't think we'l be signing him anyway. I tell you what though, i bet him himself would love to sign for us. Have you noticed lately that players seem to prefer comin to Everton more. Shows the progress we have made

Your right about him drifting in and out of games but in a strange way,he reminds me of James McFadden. Many on here will have been pleased to see him leave, but he along with Bentley can produce something out of nothing. Yakubu has that same someting about him where he looks uninterested for long spells then BANG!, he produces. I agree with you however that i dont believe we will sign him.
