hmm, just pissed off giggs is chosen, **** never gave a **** about wales, why should he be given the privilage to represent GB????? pearce really rates richards though, as do i, would love him at everton, would fit in perfectly. very shocked at beckham's omission though, especially as he helped secure london's bid, but credit to pearce's balls to not pick him based on form

Its a smack in the teeth after all his hard work.

Stinks really.

Not saying he should be in on football talent, but hes spent the last few Years giving his time to support the bid.

Ok, hes probably made a few bob, but he didnt have to do it.

Oh well.

Come on hey lads, its a GB team, we can put all the petty arguements behind us and get behind our great Nation.

As long as they pick only English players it should be fine.

He's selected 3 guys who have been sitting around for a month and a half and left the guy actually playing at home. Doesn't make much sense to me.

Never has a footballer made so much money got so many international caps achieved so much fame on so little talent.

Beckham was the watershed for english football the epitome of image over substance, fundamental flaws in his game overlooked because of his glamorous lifestyle. An england place guaranteed because of who he was rather than what he could offer, a one trick pony who's media love in created a myth lapped up by a generation who don't know a footballer from a ham sandwich.

Ferguson saw the reality and shipped him out.

He's done nothing since except rack up unjustified caps and sell shirts at Madrid. If you want to know Beckham look at his choice after Madrid, a last hurrah in any of the major leagues called but no, he chose the USA - Los Angeles of course - the epicentre of the self serving.

Well done Stuart Pearce, normally he comes over as a complete dullard but he's got this right.
