He's still only 27. As others have said, when fit he is a quality footballer. I really hope we get to see him fit for at least one season whilst he's with us as his range of passing would be a real godsend in this team

The off-field stuff is a big issue and can't be excused but if the club deems that he stays then so be it. Just get him fit on on the field

I think the two are linked. When he's suffering long term set back after long term set back he seems to go to a dark place. When he first came under Moyes and was playing every game he didn't have any problems (that we knew of)

Possibly right...there were rumours about his drinking before he joined though...yeah, I know, jarg rumours and I'm guessing that if he did have a major drink issue then Martinez would definitely get rid as his views on booze are well known

27?

I am surprised at that. He seems to have been around forever.

I don't like people reading 'celebrity juice' magazines. I don't like when sky sports do indept reporting on the personal life of people that isn't sport and I don't like people on here taking issue with Gibbons problems in his life when it comes to being a Toffee. What he does on the pitch should be our concern. Sure talk about it if need to but it should not interfere with your opinion on him as an Everton player.
