Darron Gibson

He is a class act, I'd go so far as to say that if we are going to do anything this season we need Gibson fit for most of it. He brings such composure to the team that it settles us and brings us balance, he also lets us play much more attacking football because our full backs know they can go marauding up the field and know that Gibson will fill in for them at the back temporarily.

There's probably some posts buried deep in this thread where i said that we improved when he came into the team because while he was a solely average player he was a step up from the crabs and defenders we'd been used to in midfield, comfortable on the ball with the intent to actually pass forward and we needed that kind of player at the time to improve us as a team but eventually we'd need someone a bit better all round.

Wll its looking more likely that Gibson is that player.

Incredible how good he makes us, just hope he stays injury free because when you look at the price we paid for him you can't believe SAF let a player like him go so cheaply without a good reason.

It was like watching a computer game. He seemed to find Coleman every single time he tried, was bloody mental.

Best all round midfielder I've seen at Everton. And it's just shocking as I honestly didn't rate him at all at United.

The difference is that they rave about Joe Allen's 90%+ pass rate when a good 90% of those are sideways and backwards and over five yards.
