Player Valuation: £70m
As Darron Gibson has been declared injured for up to 4/5 weeks with a thigh strain, why send Ross Barkley out on loan the same day? It just doesn't make sense

So we're down to a squad of 18 for over a month:

do you...

a) get a free in to tide you over?

b ) stick it out without the injured player?

c) reduce your squad to 17?

...hmmm, let me think.

What I Want To Happen: Fellaini drops deeper, Mirallas or Naismith as the second striker.

What Will Happen: Phil Neville in midfield.

Plus looks like we will have the dreaded two, dont mind one of them in the team but when you see Hibbert and Neville in the same team makes me want to cry.

I think Neville or Heitinga will play in midfield for 1 game, then we will see Felli drop deep. To be honest, I don't see Felli starting there on monday. He was shocking when he dropped deep against West Brom

Felli & Neville or maybe give Junior a nod. At this point in time I'd fancy seeing him there instead of Barkley to be honest.

Part of the decision (for Ross going on loan) will have been Cisco being fit for the 21s this afternoon. A good run out for him so he'll be rested over the weekend and ready for Monday.

totally agree with OP this makes no sense Barkley would have played behind Jelavic give him chance to grow into to the team with a bit of freedom, guess we see capn pip in there now :-(
