I feel for him, yes, but then again he was partial to a good, aggressive, fan inciting goal celebration right in front of our fans on more than one occasion so I can't say I'm overly gutted for him tbh.

I spent alot of time working with IBS and also Bowel Cancer sufferers so hope he gets himself sorted and comes back fighting.

If he celebrates in front of us, well that's just life, I'd give it to the Mancs if I scored at their place, that's football eh? It's not as if he screwed us over to go to United.

Get Well Soon Darren!

Yeah, fair play, bit harsh. Just saw a random video of the 03-04 game against United and was amazed to see Fletcher playing. That would mean he's been in the United first team for 8 years. Outstanding achievement.

Shame really.

Very good player. United have missed him massively. He bossed European games for United against the big teams. No fear.

Flatters to deceive for Scotland but shows how good he is with decent players around him for United.

Get well soon lad

Watching him screaming into the Gwladys like a madman from a couple yards away didnt really endear him to me , hope he gets well all the same , by sounds of it doesnt sound like a nice thing for anyone to be going through .

Bad news - could be the end for him as a player, but I hope not. He will be coming here as soon as SAF allows it to happen, or his contract expires.

Ah, something I can relate to.

I was diagnosed with this a few years ago, and believe me it's not pleasant.

Lost 10kg and spent a few days in hospital on a drip. Requires daily medication which lowers your immune system.

It's not just the unpleasant stuff, there's other horrible conditions, such as arthritic-like pains, constant tiredness and having to really watch your diet.

However, it can be managed once the right medication is found, and I'm playing sport at a decent level in spite of it. Wish him all the best and can definately understand the break he is taking, as he will need it.

So no one going to do a Stotsman with tummy trouble reference? This place has the good grace of a saint.
