You can see now the folly of people accepting the possibility of £18M for Lescott + a striker unproven at Goodison. Madness. If other clubs are asking £35M for a player near the end of his contract, and Spurs are asking £18M for a nomad like him, Everton need to be holding out for £25M minimum for Lescott.

They're stuck with him now. Spurs will just have to accept they paid way too much for him in the first place and will not make anywhere near the same amount of money to get rid of him.
