If you're liking finding new music, I recommend http://www.boomkat.com all electronic, all indie labels, do some stupendous compilation work on their '14tracks' series, cost under £7...regularly spend hours on there browsing as you can listen to 2 minute samples of any track you like...

happyface!

Is there any good dnb/dubstep nights in liverpool?

For any techno/minimal fans, this track has gotta be one of the best build ups ever, only just discovered it:

No mate. To be honest 'Dubstep' as a genre is ridiculously wide ranging, in that it's only 'strict' definition is that it should remain at or around 140 bpm. That's why you get so many stupid arguments about what is and isn't dubstep, the loud and explosive club tracks you get sound so different to some Dub tracks from the likes of James Blake, Skream, Mala etc.

Speaking of good Dubstep:

Most of this stuff is too chilled for me, I need a bit more going on.

Which sounds.... like...

This, most of those tracks above just remind me of chilled out old DnB... When I think of Dubstep I think of stuff like Skrillex... Is that not right?

Some pretty cool tunes there, liking the Bingo Players stuff...

Changing the vibe totally, heard this somewhere the other day, brought back memories:
