Sounds awesome. I was at Birmingham Uni, from 96-99. Was it God's Kitchen that opened up there shortly after that? Pretty sure there was a big club there a few years after my time that I was gutted on not being there for..

godskitchen was in the sanctuary in digbeth... used to go there lots, and sundissential in the centre of birmingham. i think that was known as the sanctuary too, a big old hall with seating around the upper part of it. was an ace venue!

Can't see the youtube clips to see if it's been mentioned before, but the Leon Vynehall album 'Music for the uninvited' is an absolute cracker. Excellent deep house but very summery in its vibe.
