The way he departed left a sour taste, but it was down to Everton to sit the lad down with the papers for him to sign and get the deal done. We managed the situation poorly in that respect. But given that he never really got going again (due to injury etc.) after leaving the Club, makes me think it wasn't such a bad thing in the end. We could have easily been left paying the wages of a player who may have only managed a handful of appearances per season.
 
NEA. He's not been getting much game time with them this season. I'd say there's a fair chance that he may not be there at the start of the season depending on his contract.
 
Not arsed tbh.
Gave me one of my best memories of Everton, but IMO he wasn't good enough at that time to warrant any more playing time. I don't think he would have "made it" with us, so he walked off on a bosman basically. It happens.
 
Already 25. Don't think he will be a full international. Championship standard footballer.
