Daily Mirror Reporting Nike Deal

Heard a few murmurs about it. Not really sure it's the best way. At least with Le Coq we get original designs, not just Nike's identikit.

well just been talking to my mate, whos missus is a buyer for kit bag and he asked me if i wanted any everton stuff as they are selling them off because they are changing supplier to nike next week.

so looks like its a done deal.

It was mentioned a bit a couple of months ago, seemed like it was a goer.

I always wanted us to have Nike throughout the Umbro and Puma years, now we're with Le Coq, I don't really want a change, they've made some boss kits. Still, hopefully Nike should be a better deal for us, make the shirt available in more places etc...so if so, it could be a good thing

I will take all the freebies going. Thanks pal.

I figured it was all change when I got the BOGOF offer via email last week. I might even do it too as I really like our current home kit. Haven't bought an Everton shirt since the white/grey Danka monstrosity...I'm all about the £15 obscure foreign team kits from Mike Ashley's Emporium of Static Electricity and Eastern Europeans.

Just because it's made by Nike it won't expand the commercial footprint much - Kitbag dictate who and where the kits are sold still under the terms of our lovely contract. I'd love to take it back in house and get a decent marketing team on board. One of the key gripes I have with the lack of interest in brand promotion at the club.

I'm guessing they would be available in all Nike stores though? i.e. I'm off to Brum in a bit, I don't think I've ever seen an Everton shirt on sale in the whole of Birmingham, would be nice to see one in the Nike store window. Everton dropped the home kit to £25 at Christmas if I remember, but never got round to ordering it. When I saw that deal to get the away kit free, I thought that was a right deal, until I realised the home kit was £42 again. Boooo, still it's a good deal

I buy more random shirts, than Everton ones, I'm with you on that. I'm still after the Tokyo FC away shirt from the 2009/10 season. One day I will find one...

The last Nike kit, that I like is the current Celtic away. I´m really excited about the kit Nike will make for us (no standard template)
But I like the Nike training and leisurewear, this could be really nice with an Everton crest ;)

That's true. I'd probably be more inclined to buy something like a training top or whatev's if it was made my Nike

Heard the odd rumour about it.

If anything I love the fabric, I have this years Porto shirt and it's superb.

I'm not too happy about the little lines that go down the sleeves, though...
