Dads army?

Like I said, last season was last season, and teams like Spurs, City, Sunderland have improved more than we have.

The only difference from last season is that they didn't improve. It's like doing something dangerous once, getting away with it, and then getting cocky, doing it again and getting killed.
The latter will happen this season - but obviously in football terms.

Bundy, please stop your killing me mate

Feel free my friend, Im here, I give it, im more than willing to take it back.

I am confused, you are here to give what? and what exactly are you 'willing' to take back?
This could be two 'dunce' posts for me back to back. I feel like such a retard, I hope it is not held against me if my feelings turn out to be fact.

Yes, that right there is the stuff. Has no one actually called you to book on it so far? Not that I consider myself so highly, but as you were throwing thread start quotients around I thought it might be apt.

I assumed you wished to "call me to book". My bad.

Which teams do you consider to be our "rivals"?

It appears to me with my gormless eyesight that I have become mistaken, I thought I asked Azzbot about teams that 'have improved'. But as you have raised a question about 'rivals', then quite simply, and to answer honestly and factually and without bias, I believe there are nineteen rivals in our league next season, and we as Everton will play them all in the league twice.

Let's get reasonable about things Dunc.

We aren't going to be challenging the top 4, and we aren't going to be amongst the bottom 7.

So there's 9 teams left, one of them's us, there's 8 teams. Out of them 8 teams who will be challenging 5th?

To assume is to make an 'ass' of 'u' and 'me'.
I was hoping that all human beings that consider themselves civilised and rational would opt to apply an element of critique to themselves and their personal views instead of trampling anyone and anything that might appear opposed to their gut reaction about certain subjects. The right of self censure and thoughtfulness (especially in some important situations) can at times be all too easily overlooked.
Ahem "choo choo".

I have my views, I will express them, as long as I stay within the rules, it shouldnt be a problem.

I try to back up my views, but I have been known to make wild and sweeping statements.

Anyway, enough about me, lets talk about YOU.

I am prepared to be reasonable, and I commend you for your willingness at the same time. What I struggle to get on terms with is "We aren't going to be challenging the top 4", the summer we sold Rooney, bought Bent and Cahill, there were fans and even players (Radzinski) that were predicting a season of turmoil, and struggle. How wrong they all were. It is very rare now to find said individuals, in fact, it is impossible. Such is the nature of certain football fans.
Only last summer plenty of 'the Goodison faithful' wrote Neville off, turned out a real trooper in my eyes. And last summer there were plenty sl@*ging Jagielka off. What a difference 10 months makes. No one gave Osman any crappola the day of our first victory at Fulham in forty (?) years. Still, lets all tear the club and the manager and the squad and the board to pieces because we have not matched this years w@***rs Man City pound for pound. Who was it last summer? Sunderland for Malbranque and Richardson?

When at Goodison and we score and we win I never feel closer to my fellow Everton fans. Never has that feeling extended to the bitching and moaning that the internet provides medium for.
