G beaten by 40s up the mountain.
Would have been bigger but for Rog's mechanical.

Tough for G - but if there's one rider who's had even more bad luck with crashes over the years it's Rog. Nice to see him take that chain drop in his stride and win.

It's the dilemma isn't it? No one wants to see this happen, yet the highlight of the recent Netflix docu was Pidcock's descent of the Galibier. It is a big part of the sport but the risks are high and the consequences can be terrible.
