Depends on where you want to put it. Would have to stand on a table. If that suits your room I think it's worth the extra cost. If a telly on the wall would suit the room better then obviously the flat one
 

Can't stick 'em on a wall like...looks crap.


I wouldn't be, and tbh I think they all look crap stuck on a wall at a stupid height such as above a mantlepiece.

was mounted on a wall in the shop tbh, the back is flat in middle where all the gubbins are
 
Worth bothering with ?

A 49" in Argos for £499, only £50 more than the flat 1.

£50 for a gimmick that ain't worth it or miles better ?

I never thought of that. A family member has a 55" curve screen and has it on a bench/table. Looks ok
