Holgate has that problem every week he copes!
Holgate's obviously a better defender. However, if the fans can see that Cuco's getting slaughtered, surely the manager can see. And it's his job to adjust accordingly and shore up the weak spot. Either changing him or changing the structure to offer him some protection.

The bare minimum requirement for a full back, the absolute bare minimum, is that you can block a cross. Tony Hibbert could do it, couldn't do much else, but he could put his body in front of a cross. This man is incapable of doing that as he's scared of footballs.

Might want to have a word with the rest of our full-backs then as we never block crosses coming in.

Cuco is OK going forward but he can't defend, we don't have a centre forward for him to cross the ball to. He has little value at the moment. We need a defender who can defend. If we get a centre forward in January and we continue to play with two defensive midfielders then maybe he has a roll.
I can't see why he is in the team at the moment.

I get cuco isn't the best but who on the pitch on Saturday was! He had absolutely Zero protection in front of him and was badly exposed! I get that you can't polish a turd but it wasn't all on him!

Goals 2 and 3 killed the game, and they were all on him. He does his job properly and they don't happen.
