As I said in the summer transfer window thread Chelsea needed cover for their wing backs so went and spewed £28m on one.

Spurs didn't think "Thanks for the Walker money" and just bank it. They bought another quality right back.


We have our best and arguably only first team right back out with a broken leg, a player who's one of the best in the league in his position and go out and get this clown.

That isn't ambitious or going to close the gap on any teams above us.

Fact is Koeman signed him even though Southampton didn't want him and he's here on a three year deal so unfortunately there are three more seasons of this. What Koeman sees in his is something no one else does.
