You can't just have blind faith in a manager and assume they know more than you do because they're a football manager. Even Alex Ferguson bought some rubbish players. Going by your your logic ever player he ever bought should be better than what any fan could suggest, which is clearly not true.

Likewise though, slating a player just because another club released them doesn't make a player useless. Some players have gone on to prove teams that release them wrong.

I'd agree Koeman has a more informed opinion, seeing them in training all the time but that doesn't mean his opinion will always be right.

Bobby Martin saw the players day in day out during his tenure, does that mean he was right about everything too?
