I don't see any club storming past our honours won mate. Including Man City.

Whereas Leicester have just pissed all over your irrelevance by winning a solitary league title.

You've never been champions of England mate. Never. What legitimacy to you have to even try to look us in the eye? You're a nothing feeder club. Thanks for your best ever manager mate.

You're Southampton, we're Everton.

Unlucky mate.
You're pretty embarrassing aren't you? I get it, you were good once. Always living in the past like the other lot down your end, both of yous need to get a grip and start worrying about what's happening now.

Fair enough mate.

Do you think you'll struggle this year? Again, not being an ass but I can't see you finishing in the top half this year. You have barely strengthened.
Don't know yet. We're far weaker than we were last season right now but the Hojbjerg lad we've brought in from Bayern looks a right player. Looks like we're trying to bring in two more attackers (Boufal, Ghezzal, Stanciu, Haller) and obviously trying to keep hold of Fonte.

We've not had to deal with the Europa League and you've seen first hand what that can do to a team that has a relatively small squad. We'd all settle for a top-half finish with decent cup runs this season. The next step for a club our size is to actually win something relevant, I think we've hit our ceiling in league finishes for the time being so it'd be nice to win a trophy.

No mate, we were good multiple times. That's why we've been champion nine times and you have managed it once.

We've started worrying about now. So we just eased up and had a word in your best ever manager's ear. And he left you to come to us.

You know why mate?

Because you're Southampton, and we're Everton.

Maybe that's what is eating you up inside.

I think that's what we were aiming for when we opted to take your best ever manager with little fuss.
You're right, there was little fuss. He tried to use you as a bargaining chip and we said no. Have you not seen his interview upon joining your lot? He wanted to stay here for another year and we said sign a contract or get stuffed.

I hope you have another decent season, but you are making a right tit of yourself with your comments in here today (this post aside).

Unless you are on a wind up of course, if so crack on!

Yes mate. When you start doing that on a regular basis then come back and we may acknowledge your existence.

In the meantime I'm sure the likes of Watford, Burnley, Middlesbrough and Fulham will welcome your rivalry on their boards.

Not an exciting signing by any standards, and time will tell if he is an adequate or sub-standard backup solution for Coleman.

I do think it's wise to have a more like-for-like replacement for when Seamus is not available, and this guy can hopefully be that to a greater extent than an out of position CB, LB, DM or RW. Even when players have come in and done a very decent job filling in at RB, the balance of the side and tactical setup always seems to suffer to an extent when the RB is either defensively weak and in need of help from the right sided defensive midfielder, or if he does not offer much of an attacking threat on the overlap, making our offensive game much more easy to read and stifle.

Yeah that Hojbjerg looked great against Utd, I must agree.

Good luck for the season anyway. I fear you may have bitten off more than you can chew with @chicoazul and @Tubey but you made your bed mate...

You really really believe he was trying to use us as a bargaining chip?, are Southampton fans still going along with that one then I take it? So the interview he has just given to Dutch TV where he says it was the big project and big budget here that made him want to take the job is all lies? lol

Can't say I agree. Half if it's tongue in cheek but most of it is truth. There's no denying that Koeman wasn't fussed on Everton until it became apparent that we weren't happy for him to see out his contract.

That's a fact and even he confirmed it. The worst part of you lot is how you think you strolled in and took our manager, that's not even nearly the case and you all know it.
