Real talk though, the forum has gone down
hill over the last while. It's no longer the irreverent place that I fell in love with as some people take it far too seriously and the moderation team values this over the long standing community and originally somewhat silly and irreverent humour of the place. I don't log on to read as much any more because any derailment of a thread is stomped on and as such the little bits of humour are lost and far more rare. The genius of this place in the past was that the sanity was maintained by the little moments of insanity that kept it all interesting. Now it's all just a bit whitewashed.

I actually think what has happened - and I've only been here 4 years - is that the humour and weirdness has spread onto other parts of the forum rather than concentrated on the Ale House.

The Everton only forum is probably the weirdest I've seen it since Martinez second season, it's great, and the Trump thread last November was magic .

The place is MASSIVE these days, so the days of the mods being able to deal with things on a personal basis is harder and harder, I dont have an issue myself, just remember the golden rule, Everton forum is for Everton, you can still use the banters, but theres no longer page upon page of mindless banter from ferrets like me.

The game changes, instead of putting your 10p and playing, its now a quid, try not to get GAME OVER.

When my modship is rubbed stamped I will CRUSH all those that break the rules.

I reckon it feels more rare because there is a greater volume of stuff on here now (more posters, more traffic, far more people prepared to post etc).

It's a strange one, for me I love grandoldteam.com but I felt like you in early 2016. The Ale House was crap threads like the Dapper Dogs one.
