Overall I think Messi is a better player but Ronaldo deserves the Balon D'Or this year. Can't stand him but he's been absolutely incredible this year. Insaciable appetite.
 

It wouldn't shock me if Ronaldo and Messi retire as the two top goalscorers to ever play in the top european leagues.

Right now it's greaves and muller but there's only 100 goals in it.
 
Ronaldo's definitely been better than Messi over the past 12 months.

Remarkable player and fully deserves that Ballon D'or this year.
 

Really wanted Sweden to win but have to take me hat off to Ronaldo for putting in another brilliant performance in a big game. The kid can play a bit.
 
Don't think it's fair to compare to messi.

Ronaldo for me is truly a complete athlete. Could be the every best player I've ever seen.

Fair enough. With Messi injured, Ronaldo is the best in the world. That's as far as I'm willing to take it.
