Kid across the road that plays with my kids sort of looks up to me. His father is a die hard utd but his kid announced after the three three draw that hes a blue (5 year old) father then spent 2 months trying to brainwash him into utd. Of course he failed , My question is should i take a more active intrest eg loan him dvds or bring him back a shirt.

Wouldnt like it done on me but the kid seems to have made his own mind up.

Any waays discuss

Well we both know how hard it is to ward off other interests over here when it comes to football, so ultimately i think he will follow in his dads footsteps but what i would do is, whenever he is in your house playing with your kids, id conveniently have on an everton dvd, or be wearing your everton jersey or top. My young lad cant get enough of Tim Cahills boxing the corner flag celebration so thats keeping him on course, i just put show him youtube clips every day. Dont give this lad dvd,s or jersey, i feel that would insult his dad, just keep the everton theme alive whens hes around.

Haha my best mate is going through similar at the moment. He's a kopite and he's got twins. They live down near Southampton. One has followed in his footsteps but the other keeps leaving Chelsea stuff around the house. He thought he'd turn him to the dark(er) side but it's been going on for a year or so and he doesn't want to know about the red****e. It's Chelsea all the way for him. It's quite funny.

If it were my twins, I'd boil the one who didn't support Everton as a poignant reminder to the other.

I tried to convince my twin lads to follow in my footsteps, the little buggers sacked me and football off and follow wigan warriors instead, they cant be arsed with football

Rumour has it Rovers play Everton at Tallaght in march,, get a sneaky extra ticket and take him along with your boys.. That should seal the deal..... If not,, duke it out with his dad,, that kid, like us all has been chosen!!!! Haha!!

Heard that rumour and intend to do said suggestion. Great minds think alike.

What I want to know is if he's cut out for it. Top marks for being interested but I'm 14 and live in Ireland, and the amount of abuse I get at school is not even funny. I take it on the chin though. COYB

I'd try another tact, brainwash the kid into supporting Man City instead, that's gonna REALLY antagonise the father!
Plus, he won't have to suffer the anguish of being an Evertonian, thus giving his heart a few more years to tick.

i have 22 years of abuse more than you, but its worth the rollercoaster. We will have our turn again.
