I have a horrible Boomer view which I'm embarrassed to have but I can't for the life of me accept the test records of Bumrah and Murali because of the hyper flex in their actions. I know they don't technically throw, but they have an advantage over other bowlers even though I know Glenn McGrath had a 12 degree flex for example. Perhaps it's because Murali took like 200 wickets against Zimbabwe.

No I agree, all those spinners with that weird action too. I think it was Saeed Ajmal, Johan Botha was another. It's chucking plain and simple

Watching Murali win games single handed at Lancashire I love the fella, cracking fella aswell by all accounts. Heard a few former aussie players say they are a bit shamed by how he got treated.

I definitely hate how he was treated, it wasn't his fault. Disgraceful from Hair and the Aussie crowd at the time. I love watching him too, same as Bumrah, but for me their records will have an asterix next to them and again that's a dirty pov from me as it isn't their fault.

And yes, a lovely fella. Remember an interview with Mark Nicholas where they made him put an iron cast on and bowl his dooshra in it to prove he wasn't chucking, the witch hunt was insane. He absolutely went beyond the 15 degrees, but I don't hold him accountable, I don't think he was deliberately cheating.
