Post any weird, scary, creepy things you know, heard saw sometime. Videos, stories, pictures. Probably NSFW seeing as there might be weird stuff, and not just pictures of Michael Jackson or ugly people wearing RS tops. I've had way too much coffee...

Creepy weird 'fallen angel' or just some naked bum taking a dump in the woods?

Boss thread idea, Heat.

I have nothing to contribute, like, but as a complete X-Files fanboy I'm very intrigued!

Oh I've been re-watching that recently. They started it from the beginning on Sky Atlantic. Marvellous stuff.

I love Fringe too, mainly because of Liv obviously.

Fringe was my favourite sci-fi show since the X-Files. Then I discovered Supernatural, which is even better. The sci-fi aside, it's also frigging hilarious, and it has loads of off the wall episodes that bulldoze the 4th wall.

But yes, Fringe is excellent. I've been thinking of rewatching through the X-Files though. Nothing has ever come close enough to capturing that creepy, monster of the week vibe.

Oh, man. You really think Supernatural is better than Fringe? I'm shocked, mate.

Here was me thinking we agreed on everything, man.

In terms of pure sci-fi, no. I just like the comedic edge. And the whole multiple dimensions thing doesn't really interest me, either. Although Fringe handles that surprisingly well.

Anyway, some of my favourite X-Files eps where the ones that had a little bit of fun. Especially as David Duchovny's really quite a good comedy actor. Yeah, I love Californication too.

Ah yeah, I've watched Supernatural since the start. I can spot a good geekfest a mile away. It's fun, but seems to be going the way of all those shows. Start out as a fun monster-of-the-week type thing with an interesting main, ongoing storyline. Gradually the main storyline seems to take over; Mulder and his alien obsession, the Winchesters and their.... Lucifer thing.

Anyway, still fun. I saw Cas in some horribly cheap horror film the other day actually. Stonehenge Apocolypse or something. Awful.

Supernatural isn't bad at comedy I agree. But honestly I mostly think it's ****. I only really watch it to see Jensen Ackles with his shirt off. Mind, I didn't much like the X-files either.

Fringe is actually pretty good, though.

The Angels and Demons thing is a lot less interesting. But, kudos to them for being so self aware and tongue in cheek about it. I just watched a recent episode in which they were teleported to an alternate dimension, where they were the cast of Supernatural. It sounds like shark hurdling stuff, but it was fecking hilarious. They were all Ricky Gervais Extras-esque versions of themselves, and loads of the cast members were brutally murdered. The best part? They tied it into the main storyline without it seeming ridiculous. Which sounds ridiculous in itself, haha.

Oh and Cas was brilliant in that episode. He's meant to be a twitter nerd in real life, so he played a twitter obsessed weirdo. I don't remember laughing as much at a TV episode in a long while.

I will say though, they've made an effort to go back to the monster of the week days of old. It's a bit less Angel Demon, and more shapeshifters, vamps and ghouls. 6 seasons in, and it's seemingly getting better! :)

Sci-fi is a pretty broad genre, I guess. Fringe is a lot more sciencey, whereas Supernatural and the X-Files are more creepy.

The great thing is though, you don't have to pick just one! You can enjoy them all!

And yeah, if I was gay. IF. I would so have the hots for Jensen Ackles. He seems a pretty awesome guy too. I've seen some bloopers and extras and he seems a genuinely funny guy.

I prefer Jared.

There's actually legions of fans devoted to "Wincest". Which is when they photoshop pics and write fan fiction, in which the two brothers erm... you get the picture.

They actually reference it a few times in the show...

Dean: "But we're brothers".

That, my friends, is why I love the writers on Supernatural.

I loved the first 4 series of supernatural but hey when you go after the devil then frankly theres nowhere else to go fun while it lasted though according to the wife (who is fanatical about the show) one of the producers/writer/directer (Kim manners IIRC) had something to do with the X files and frankly it shows too bloody shame he died.

And Ackles acts the other one into oblivion his "eye of the tiger" routine hanging outside the window of the car was classic

Ha, I work in a chemistry lab (as an electrician admittedly but still). The science in Fringe is utterly terrible. Great mood and character stuff, though.

But yeah, all power for you if you enjoy what you enjoy, man.

Me, I'm a bit sophisticated so I like my sci-fi to have git big space ships and people shooting at each other with ray guns, mostly. Stuff like Red Dwarf, Futurama, Farscape, Firefly and ****.

And yeah Jensen Ackles is a ridiculously attractive man. He had me watching fecking Dark Angel for him, the [Poor language removed].

FFS, 1 vid in and it's turned into a sci-fi thread, post weird shiz and creepy stuff.
