Craft beer pubs in Liverpool

The Caledonia used to be the Caledonian Superpub when I was at uni, a pub-cum-launderette-cum-internet café. Used to have a washing machine rather precariously perched right above the front door!

I actually like The Fly in the Loaf because it is bright. A change of pace from the usual I-want-to-kill-myself lighting at some other venues. Thomas Rigby's downtown (sister pub of Fly in the Loaf) is also good.

Thoughts ? Other suggestions ?

I've only been in the Ship and Mitre which is very good

BTW I know there are other Pub type threads around but this is quite a specific question
Been in most of them apart from The Pen Factory which I've never heard of! Ship and Mitre best but am going to The BrewDog bar with high hopes on Saturday so will post about that after that if I can remember any of it.

Didn't like the loaf at all , the girl behind the bar was about 15 and was useless.

Been to a couple of Brew Dog places, not been disappointed yet . Their Dead Pony pale ale is well worth a a go
Ordered lots off their website and I like it all, loads don't. Never had the Tactical Nuclear Penguin and I cant see the bar knocking it out like:pint2:Never been in one so can't wait.

I've always thought the Philharmonic Pub was good for a few real ales. Although ill be trying out plenty that's in the article. There's quiet a few I've never heard of.

Can't hurt to try them all and get a GOT consensus, can it? I've also seen good reports on the Dispensary, but can't comment on any of these.

Kazimier Garden is ace - Makes a nice change of pace to sit outside at a pub

Went last weekend and enjoyed a couple of pints listening to Springsteen's Nebraska - Tough to beat an hour like that :)
