COVID

On a slightly more serious note for a moment...

A work colleague who is a clinical academic (he's provided material for sage and worked on some the UKRI / NIHR funded response projects) reckons in most cases the virus is now a very mild acute illness. However, we are now seeing many more instances of 'long covid'.

Apparently there's still vigilance and concern about mutations and new variants. So we are being harsh to @davek here.
I caught it early April , 1/2 day in bed , did 10 days isolation , not too bad . I’m 70 and triple jabbed. But 12 weeks later i still have bouts of tiredness if I do too much. I do a lot of running and feel the difference in tiredness after a run and during it, with numerous fellow runners saying the same. I’m not as badly affected that I’d call it “ long Covid” but there’s definitely been a longer term impact that people should be aware of .
