My remark was a tongue in cheek reference to the practice in Southern Europe to over prescribe,when copago was brought in here in Spain and people had to start paying on a sliding scale for drugs the amounts people took fell drastically. But in saying that if they prescribe for a potential secondary infection no wonder antibiotic resistance is on the rise.

Finally copped it unfortunately I’m on hols in Greece, spent the early hours in hospital, couple of drips , got a closed up throat and bronchitis. 5 days added to vacation, in hotel room , wife had it 2 months ago and is ok , she’s returning home tomorrow.

I was told it was all over by the clever people on here 18 months ago....mostly people dribbling spittle onto their jumpers and sceaming about Chinese laboratories.

On a serious note: the BA5 has ripped through South Africa without much of a to do; it's winter there and the spike was lower than for all other variants including the first Omicron and the duration of the outbreak less prolonged. Which is good news.

I think we have another couple of months before masking becomes compulsory in certain settings again...and it should never have been dropped either.

Then again, some people believe the old and inform aren't humans really, so they'll just crack on being thick gets and killing people while screaming about government experiments.
