This isn't about stopping disease. Passports are about monitoring people and about control. They must be resisted, this is the first step on what is quite a scary path... Does anyone really think that the government won't use this system for protesters? 'Sorry, you're not safe to come here'. Or worse, sorry, you protested this, you now can't go to the pub. Social credit system here we come.

personally I have long ago abandoned any hope of not being monitored, ergo a national ID card does not bother me in the slightest. They already know more about me than I can remember myself. If it makes me safer from this very real danger, then it’s a bonus.

I can't be barred from entry to pubs because I have a phone. This creates a system where you can now be barred entry to the pub. It's currently illegal to monitor people in such a manner regardless of whether they do it or not, this now legalises and encourages it.

Car number plate too, that's another one, APNR cameras are more common then people think.
Every move you make can be traced, if needed, this passport thing adds nothing to information that dosent already exist if needed

National ID cards are one thing, and something I have absolutely no issue with - if you're doing nothing wrong what have you got to worry about?

The problem is that this shower in government will just keep changing laws as and when they see fit, to make most things illegal, and then we are all goosed - the amends to the ability to protest and that law, show us a glimpse of our future.

A vaccine passport which prevents access to "normal" aspects of life (pub᜵restaurants/events/shops/services) if you haven't had the jab or got this passport, is discriminatory any way you slice it.

Wake up and smell the roses. If you think it isn’t happening you’re either naive or stupid. Personally I’d prefer someone to be banned from the pub if they have not been vaccinated, more room for me and less risk of contamination. Win-win for me.

Even Liverpool One as a shopping centre can barr people from simply walking through it, did you know that?
That scheme ad's nothing, all its doing its protecting people, working class people.

I'm interested in how you think the logistics.of this would work. And why it would need a covid.passport to make it work when pretty much everyone has a mobile phone which is much easier to track?

See an earlier post. This creates a barrier to entry for general services. This is the foundation for social credits.

When you're not allowed to enter the shops or withdraw money for attending a protest or commenting something dissenting, then let me know.
Also, you can't currently bar entry to a shop or pub 'for any reason', it has to be justified legally ie public disturbance or abuse.

Nosey arl bint a few doors down knows more about me than I do. So much so I gave her my census form to fill in. So I don't really have any qualms that the Government can track me and know where I am and am not. I won't be up to no good, anyway, so what does it matter!
