Courgettes are good chopped up and lightly fried with mushrooms. They bulk things out a bit. I fear they taste of very little on their own.

They're ace sliced up with a julienne peeler so they turn into noodles, then fried.

I'll have loads from my allotment this year. I'm going to be a bloody millionaire!

My taste and smell faculties have deteriorated recently for some reason so I am perhaps maligning the courgette unfairly - if that doesn't sound too ridiculous. It is not a tasty thing on its own I maintain but then neither is the mushroom in its supermarket state.
