Cost of Sky package...

I was paying £107 for the full package, UHD, multiroom and Netflix. They told me it was going to £135, I said shove it, they offered me £120, I said no.

Came back with keep it at £107, I said no because I was offended they had taken 3 offers to get to it. Final offer was £89, I said yes on the proviso there was no April price increase.

Given Netflix is £19 now, I don't think it's a bad deal.

If the Premier League breaks away from the Sky deal with it's own streaming service then expect the likes of Liverpool and Man Utd wanting a bigger cut of the monthly fee.
I'm sure they do but the broadcasting platform shouldn't impact too much. It's upto the other 14/15 clubs not to be walked over.

I personally can't see the Sky business model lasting another 10 years particularly with piracy as rampant as it is.

I'd imagine it would be mostly shared revenue, there'd be far bigger merit payments than there currently is.

My "mates" box is saying no connection a lot lately, keeps having to reboot it,
Pain in the arse
My dad had sky but got rid of it because it was too expensive got a fire stick which stopped working in November last year, he said he wouldn't get sky back too much money, he now goes to the pub to watch games and spends more on beer every weekend than he ever paid sky in a month.

There are people in Sky boardrooms wondering why people use IPTV and resort to torrents instead of paying £1200 a year to watch their product.

Actually there isn’t. They know exactly what they’re doing.

Beware the ides of March April.

There is a picture on here of man utd ticket pricing at £71 a go, there's been comment about FA cup semi final ticket take up, and villa hammered for CL fixture pricing. Now we're at the premium end of the tv experience. Off the top of my head I can recall villa, rs, newcastle, man utd, city & chelsea all looking to rebuild or expand stadium seating, spurs are in a new gaff, arsenal almost 2 decades in.

How do we all think things are going to go at BMD?

I've got Netflix for £5 per month (signed up while I was in Morocco) and a firestick with over 10,000 channels for £40 a year.

How on Earth can someone pay over £100 a month to watch TV?
