I know nothing but the basics of cooking and I'm ashamed, as my mum's a chef. To be honest though I've not put any time or effort into learning, I'm sure I'll get quite average at it really quick if I tried.
Pierce it a few times with a fork - it loosens the fibres of the lemon and you get a bit more juice.Before you sqeeze a lemon, put it in the microwave for a few seconds then roll it on the counter, will release more juice
