He's definitely a superstar.

Arguably, he's up there in the top five athletes/sports personalities in the world at the moment in terms of exposure, marketing, attention etc etc.

I'm not a UFC fan, but McGregor is genuinely one of those that draws outsiders to the sport. He's a personality with a history as well, and he's got an entire nation behind him.

I know plenty of people who have never watched UFC, but will (and have) happily watch McGregor and that's what then gets them into the sport.
