Sounds have been pretty good, quick feet, assists, goals a creative player, i beleive he has played as a forward or just behind, apparently he has a light build and is on the small side, but has pace. Has stepped up from the youth team to reserves and made the bench against Villa. Never been recognised internationaly at any level.
From the OS:
McAleny joined Everton’s academy at just 11 and in the summer of 2008 has been recruited as a full-time scholar.
The diminutive yet pacy striker has impressed as a forward in his years at the club.
He became part of the Under-18s squad in 2008/09, netting a number of important goals - a role which increased the following season.
McAleny was also handed a squad number in 2009/10 but didn't feature for the first team in that campaign.
With the Blues plagued by injuries in April 2011 McAleny was named as a subsitute in the 2-2 with Aston Villa at Goodison Park along with fellow academy graduates Adam Forshaw and Aristote Nsiala.
Stubbsey was on about him yesterday as well:
"He was obviously on the bench because of injuries but he's done well for us and he's scored a few goals and it was a reason why he is there," Stubbs told evertontv.
“He's got a long way to go, he took his goal really well but needs to work on the his all-round game, he showed some real quality but he want him to show a bit more quality.
"We need to working on his timing of runs off the striker to get in behind, when to run when not to run and his positions pulling away from defenders, just little basic things that will help him," he added.
"He's been one of the brigther lights for us this season."
Stubbs wants his young charges to learn from the kind of experiences they were afforded during their bench duty at the weekend - and be ready if David Moyes decides to throw them on.
"Hopefully it will give them a lot, but the one thing you can't give them is experience," he said.
"The fact that they are in and around the first team tells you more about the injury situation than anything else - let's not kid ourselves along.
"But they are there, the gaffer's got to use them, there's a chance they could be called upon and they've got to make sure they are ready.
"They have to keep doing it because if they don't someone else will get the chance."
