Keane, Holgate and Godfrey....can't be doing with any of them and want them all punted.

Waiting to see if Coleman is getting an extension

Patterson has had far too any injuries

Mykolenko is unbelievably limited

So just rb, cb, cb, lb to sort and we'll be sound

Thanks for your effort lad, all the best for the future. Came back in the side in the run in and did a job for us, with an excellent attitude, but sadly we probably signed him too late in his career. Shouldn’t have been kicked out to accommodate Keane, but he did have some wobbly performances earlier in the season.

If not signing coady means Branthwaite is going to get an opportunity in our 1st team, then it’s a good move.

The main issue for me is him and Mina leaving leaves a massive hole at the back for experienced leaders. Branthwaite has a lot of potential but it will be much to ask him to come in and be first choice next season. If Keane or Holgate are in the team next season though then the club needs folding.

They might cost way more but they might be way better.

We all know that they are no doubt going to be a lot,lot more than the 4.5 mil, and if people act as though we have not much money now, how will we pay for someone who may cost a lot more, time will tell by August

That's my take on it. For £4.5m plus wages, I think he'd be a reliable option for squad rotation and a leader in the dressing room.

We can only hope this is part of a wider plan to reform the back line rather than purely a cost-cutting measure.

Presumably given the possibility of relegation right up to the end we were preparing lists of players who would offer value in a cheaper price range to rebuild the squad for the championship if needed. Just because we’ve survived doesn’t mean that list should be in the bin.

Hopefully letting Coady instead of paying what seems a fairly modest fee indicates we have players in mind in a similar price bracket who are younger and provide better value.
