Everton officials have requested identification from supporters who have purchased a concessionary season ticket for the 2012/13 campaign.

With the countdown underway to the eagerly-anticipated home opener against Manchester United, the Club is asking all those that have purchased a concessionary season ticket to provide proof of their name and age by Thursday, 8 August.

Concessionary season ticket holders that must provide identification are:

Kids (10 years and under).
Juniors (11-15 years).
Young people, aged 16-20.
Over 65.

Identification can be provided simply by bringing a passport, birth certificate or driving licence to:

the Park End Box Office in person.
or emailing a scanned copy to id@evertonfc.com .

Supporters should note that their concessionary season ticket will not be issued if the Club has not received the relevant documentation.

The Box Office are keen to send out season tickets in ample time before the start of the new season so supporters are urged to provide the necessary identification at their earliest convenience.

Is this new? Ive spoke to my mate and he says hes never had to give proof.

If its not new, is this something that can be ignored or do you have to actually give them proof?

Have the season tickets been as cheap as £95? im sure they are just checkin the Kids (10 years and under). Juniors (11-15 years).Young people, aged 16-20. Over 65. are who they say they are, stop full paying adults buying a Concessionary season ticket

I think a lot of people get season tickets in kids names and stuff to save money, I think it happens regularly at grounds all over the company.

The club seems to be trying a bit harder these days when it comes to money, charging for pre season online and now this... It is quite positive in a way.

Seems fair to me .. so long as wools without scanning facilities / emither can use snail mail to send coies of ID

yeah, true that mate,i sent the missus up to goodison few weeks back when we were ordering season tickets for my boys, proof of birth etc,was needed, was told at the start but ordered tickets and just took documents down to confirm at a later date

.ve had to do it tho

That's loadsa lids done in nxt season tryin 2 do 1 in the ground on the cheap, they'l still find a way round it like

Just get out your Dole/Pensioner Card mate. Failing that, your Driving License from Botswana.

They always used to ask for I.D but never properly enforced it. Now they are.

Just look at it like your extra couple of hundred quid could be keeping a class young player like Vic in a contract.
