I used to run the _brit clan in AoE 2. Was never any good at the game but loved playing it, has so much depth to it.

I upgraded my PC recently. Upgraded from a 3570k with a Nvidia 970 to a Ryzen 3600X with a 5700XT.
Bought RDR 2 and been loving it so far.
Was unsure wether to get that or Bannerlord but as a general rule I don't like buying early access games, even though I was tempted, as I loved M+B.

Defo 1 of my favourite ever games, me and my mates used to play it for hours every night, so good, just go Franks, spam farms, spam pallys, crush everything in your path.
I was tempted, but im kinda bored of buying early access games and playing them before finished, especially the fact they want 40 notes for a game that is buggy as hell.

Yeah, that's what put me off.
I heard about the AI being really dumb in fights, which was the same in M+B. They may sort it before release but prefer to wait until I know for sure rather than buy it and be let down if they don't fix it.
GTA 6 trending on twitter because it's about as early in development as it can be. Oh well, maybe it'll drop before I'm 50.
Played FFVII remake and it met my lofty expectations, the original is still my favourite game of all time.
Think the developers are taking a massive gamble with that ending though, it's safe to assume future installments will be a brand new story now. Want to trust they'll make it epic but the old game is so beloved why make any massive changes? I hope they know what they're doing.

Yeah have got the lads together for a few multiplayer online games, lots of fun relearning and teaching the game. Think my fave civ is either Goths or Britons

Ah nice! I never used to play online with it, might try after pumping a few more hours into it. The game has loads of depth as you say with both the macro and micro, lots to get my head around. Have been enjoying playing it just socially and vs the ai atm but enjoying the challenge of getting better.

T90 Official - Age of Empires 2
Worth checking out this youtube channel. He does commentaries on games, really funny. Can learn a lot from some of the pro players but he does all levels.
