In which case I have 17 armour/weapons!Ah I don't consider the Eververse stuff like Sparrows and Ships as proper exotics, just the weapons & armour. I've opened two chests in the belly of the Leviathan but didn't get an exotic in either. Think I've not had great luck with the chests in general to be fair, off the top of my head I think I've only had one exotic from a strike chest and another from a heroic public event chest. I got a Wardcliff Coil from a legendary engram two nights ago though so that was neat, and it's also pretty powerful.
Congrats on beating the raid. To date I don't think I've never finished a new raid within it's first week but then again it isn't a race, so it's no biggie. The first week is always fun for just figuring the mechanics out even if it is really challenging.

Nice. I think I have around 11-12 exotic pieces in total, which yeah does include the quest exotics like MIDA, Sturm & The Rat King. Also got Coldheart from the pre-order and purchased two pieces from Xur. What gives me encouragement is that my clan looks set to hit Rank 2 this week which provides a buff to public heroic event drops so hopefully that will result in more exotic engrams! In which case I have 17 armour/weapons!
Strikes really don't seem to drop anything worthwhile this time round so in a sense you got really lucky there! I imagine they'll start dropping in clusters for you at some point, I found the heroic events the best way - or even some pvp, just farm them a little bit! (Titan is good for this because the events are really close together)
Have you gone through the quests to get Mida and Sturm etc too?
Thanks, it was a good buzz when we finally finished it! Never finished one in the first week before either, but I find the tactics for both pools and gauntlet to be quite simple if you know what's up. Got really lucky and finished the pleasure gardens first attempt, had no idea what I was doing but my friends had tried a bunch of times lol.
The vendor after the raid is a nice surprise![]()

I think the Pleasure Gardens is actually my favourite part of the raid because it's very heavy on the mechanics side rather than just having to rely on lots of damage output. It's actually fun to play and it's great for really stressing good communication on the team.
Our clan has 20+ members and we hit the cap a few days ago which was about 3/4 of the way to Rank 2, so hitting Rank 2 within the next couple of days should be more than achievable.Ah man nice!
My clan is lagging behind we have almost hit level 1.. should get it today due to the reset. Shame it doesn't scale for us to be able to keep up, we only have 5 members haha.
I need to get my hands on a coldheart, my friend pre-ordered and I just use the game share from him so I never got the bonus!!
I really enjoyed it but I can certainly see why people might find it frustrating!
The Leviathan raid in Destiny 2 is absolutely gorgeous. Love everything about it although arguably the final boss fight isn't as good as some of the previous raids in Destiny 1.
Yeah as I said earlier I never beat a new raid in the first week and it's mainly due to the boss battle needing tons of work (and a big slice of luck) for the average group to clear. By the second week when power levels across the group are a bit higher and everyone is familiar with the mechanics it becomes easier.Love it so far. Unfortunately a couple of my friends gives up way too fast, so we never made it past Pleasure Gardens last week, even though it was obvious what we had to do to beat it.

I think Coldheart can still drop from engrams as normal because I've had friends who've decrypted multiples, but then again they were people who had pre-ordered anyway so many it's only dropping for pre-order people for now? Could do with confirming that.

For the Pleasure Gardens we found doing the 'one phase' strat the easiest way of clearing it. Get the pollen buff x5 times whilst all six dogs are still alive and solo your assigned dog with a sword. The trickiest part is getting to five of the flowers without being seen but after that it's not too difficult.

The good thing about that strat is that you have around four attempts at it before the safe room door closes and you have to wipe. If after attempt number 3 you manage to get at least x3 buff from the flowers on that attempt then just do as much dps on your dog as possible without killing them, then on attempt number 4 you may only need another x3 buff to finish them off. Either way, keeping all of the dogs alive gives you a longer period of time to get to the flowers in each attempt so it's better imo.I think we might've been able to do it if my team mates had time to start before Sunday. We wanted to give it another go later in the evening after we've had a break, but we couldn't find enough people sadly. Really wanted all the rewards for raid week one![]()

The run right before the one we eventually cleared had one dog left with literally a slither of health before we were wiped by the timer.Yeah that was our strat as well. We we're pretty close. On one attempt only one dog was left with like 40% health. Hopefully we'll give the raid a go again today.
