Computer games.

As the team explained before the big E3 reveal:

We’re not able to say the details of [what’s changing] but we are bringing dramatic change to the Final Fantasy 7 remake. We are going to be bringing dramatic change, but we want to make sure it’s still recognizable as Final Fantasy 7.

Going to absolutely kill FF7

In two minds whether to get deux ex or not.

It is a flip of a coin, i want to play it as i love deux ex games so far. I can get it potentially for 30 quid, which is a reasonable price, but then the other side is that is 30 quid worth it just in case i don't like it? When something like dishonoured would be more guaranteed fun?

I don't know, just in two minds, and i hardly play games at the minute anyway, played saturday night and now probably won't play til at least tomorrow as gotham is on tonight.

Im a pc gamer at heart but splurged on a ps4 pro and am playing uncharted nathen drakes remakes.....pure class. Only playing at 1080p at the mo though but just dont seem to notice any jaggies at all....brilliant bit of kit the pro.

Not a surprise at all. The moment they took out the battle system and decided to spread it out over three games meant the thing was dead from the outset.

Bought Terraria because I'm sick of looking at it on the first page of steam, probably will never play it, looks too complicated lol.

The basic premise is simple, but there is a load of stuff to craft etc which you'll prob want Wiki open for. Also if you have something in your inventory you can go and speak to your guide and he will tell you what it is used in, what else that requires and where you can craft it. Can do some mp later if you like.

I hope thats a game and not a dodgy website...

Cheers will check it out.

Other way round, shirley?? :o

I don't get why they couldn't just remaster it like they did with FFX. It is all they has to do but no they want to piss about with it. Teds.

It isn't complicated as such.

Very odd game tbh, because i hated it to death if i am honest, not into mining games. But when i did give it a whirl i seem to be glued to the tv for a couple of hours just digging holes and stuff lol

there is a game within the game with bosses and stuff to fight, but i never went that far into it, but if you want to build houses and dig giant holes then it is the game for you. Plus there is a sesne of achievement, craft ropes, make a ladder all the way down into your hole, go and find better items which let you do more, craft better picks to dig quicker etc.

Because they don't care about artistic integrity. All they care about is having an IP that is a licence to print money.

It'll be crap, no doubt in my mind about that. At best, it'll be like the recent Hitman, which I also wouldn't touch with a bargepole due to it being episodic.

Will FFVII remake not going to be turn-based then?

I might actually give it a go if that's the case, the reason I never played the original was because I didn't like turn based combat

It's a great game like, and was integral to the PlayStation's success, but it's just one I have no interest in playing

No, it'll be action based.

And I'm actually sad and confused that you've never played it. It's brilliant whether you like TBC or not.

I always find this fallacy that people 'don't like' TBC weird. FF7 was one of the biggest selling games of all time with it, yet the industry just randomly decided people didn't want it anymore, so we got crap like FF13 in the modern era.

It's like how survival horror died for a decade - no evidence whatsoever that people didn't want those games, yet the industry decided they didn't for them.

Some of the best and biggest games released in recent years, such as XCOM and Banner Saga, have been turn based, and if you want to go further then card games like Gwent and Hearthstone are a form of turn based combat. As I say, it's a complete fallacy - the vast majority of FF7 Remakes audience wanted that system in place; the decision to not have it is an attempt to appeal to everyone, and as such they'll inevitably appeal to no one.
