But am curious about Mafia 3. Enjoyed Mafia 2 a lot but haven't got the time to get the 3rd yet.
Yeah, my comment would be that D.Va isn't that strong a character, particularly since her recent nerf. Whilst it will take some getting used to, Zarya and Reinhardt are both characters who are "stronger" and who you will see more of in higher bracket games because of their facilitatory grouping ults and all around gameplay offering more than D.Va.@Kiwi just finished my 10 Overwatch qualifiers, 7 wins, 2 losses with good performance and one horror show. Ended up at 2360 start rating. Feel that's not too bad as I started last season in the 1700s and finished last season with 2504. Hoping to make it a bracket further this time. Been working on D.Va in the offseason, getting to feel more natural, dying a lot less and actually not wasting my ult. Sound ok?
I think I favoured D.Va as when losing badly she can still do something but when I played Rein I was just a big slow guy flailing and getting pecked to death.Yeah, my comment would be that D.Va isn't that strong a character, particularly since her recent nerf. I.e. Rein with 2000 health shield is able to block hooks and consistently defend his team with his shield, his ult if used correctly will steam roll teams. Zarya with bubbles can again negate hooks and retrieve teammates from bad positioning, her ult is the best team wipe facilitator in the game and she works as a DPS when you get charge.
Unfortunately both characters are all game sense, knowing when to bubble and how to position yourself, when to play aggressively and when to drop back, so that will take some learning. Mechanically they aren't hard to play, just takes some learning and thinking about your team and your positioning. If you really want to move up ranks, learning that will help you as much as anything else will.
There's no perfect art to playing either, I have about 100 hours on both and I still make mistakes all the time.
Learning to recognise when you're making mistakes and fixing them will help you be a better player and help you rank up.
Played the Open Beta and it was a lot of fun.Any one played wildlands if so is it any good
Rein's strength ( and his weakness) is how powerful he is close range but completely lacking in ranged damage bar firestrike (which can be hard to hit) and pin (which should be used sparingly).I think I favoured D.Va as when losing badly she can still do something but when I played Rein I was just a big slow guy flailing and getting pecked to death.
I guess I feel Rein relies on his team more and I worry about relying on my team.
I started with a really bad habit of hitting the wrong shoulder button. Used to charge rather than fireball to a pointless death. My teams must have thought I was dumb as.Rein's strength ( and his weakness) is how powerful he is close range but completely lacking in ranged damage bar firestrike (which can be hard to hit) and pin (which should be used sparingly).
I tend to play a very aggressive rein when it comes to playing vs other tanks bar Roadhog. Most of the time you can swing on them a few times as long as you keep an eye on your health pool, get halfway to ult then put shield up and get healed by your team. You've then got ult advantage on their Rein/other tanks with Rein having a very fast charging ult and provided you can break the other rein shield or even better they don't have another rein you can go ham into their team and wipe them.
The key to playing a good Rein is restricting your pins to ones that are either guaranteed to get a pick (with back up from your team) i.e. in teamfight on point and you try and pin someone with your team all around point, or short distance pins into walls e.t.c.
You need to actively be thinking about the CC's i.e. hooks + sleep, as well as the other team's ults and play aggressively or more passively accordingly. For example my main focus as Rein is blocking hook and gaining ult to hammer down. If the hook's on cooldown, I can drop shield a bit more regularly to try and conserve my shield's health. Once their Rein is close to ult, my role changes to be more about blocking their Rein ult, or getting his shield down so that I can hammer down.
You can play mind games and pretend to drop shield to fire strike e.t.c. in order to try bait it.
Also team health bars is an essential must have, fully dictates how you can and should play.
If you aren't sold on Rein I'd still advise giving Zarya a go.
That would have been frustrating as no doubt.I started with a really bad habit of hitting the wrong shoulder button. Used to charge rather than fireball to a pointless death. My teams must have thought I was dumb as.
