Computer games.

TUBEY! I know you are jaded with the flood of FPS games........

Check out this:

Also, Elite 4 has been announced. Elite: Dangerous

It is on Kickstarter trying to raise money for development. Since it was announced yesterday it has raised 285k of the 1.25 mill required to go ahead.

Personally, these two games are making a serious statement about PC games and finally getting back into the awesome world of open world space fighter-sims!!!!

Ooooooh interesting! Not sure why I've never heard of Elite... looking it up it seems right down my alley.

It does sadden me though that projects like this are regularly coming from Kickstarter though.

Cheers ;)

Elite was brilliant. Trafficking narcotics around space. great game

Deffo gonna check that out. Have supported a couple projects on KS already (check out Spate), and have been looking for a game to live up to Elite for years (just missed out on the original, but have heard it talked about nearly all my life)!

I think it's great. It gives projects that migth not normally have a chance to get made. Would prefer if there wasn't so many 'big' things using it, if that's what you mean.

I can send info on getting Frontier: First Encounters up and running on a modern PC. Get you into the feel of things. I might just reinstall just because they are so brilliant!

I've just started up my Xbox to play a quick game of FIFA and noticed some advert for Halo 4 about map packs on the home screen. I don't have Halo 4, and neither will I be buying it but I thought to myself isn't it a bit early for map packs considering it came out this week?

Turns out it's 2000 MS points, which is what, about £18?

I'm getting a bit sick of all this downloadable content now, it's like you buy "basic" game for £40-£50 and then to unlock everything else you can spend up to another £30 or £40. COD have been doing it for years and getting away with it and now it seems everyone is at it.

Loving the look of this..

Got the new CoD on pre-order. The future setting will either give the franchise the re-boot it needs or kill it off totally.

also the changes to the gun laodouts (buying guns and perk with points instead of unlocking them) and the score streaks instead of the kill streaks will be a massive change!

zombies looks like a whole game inits self now too!
