Computer games.

Shadow of War is boss. Lots of new things to do and a lot going on to keep you engaged.

Just started South park fractured but whole too, pretty funny so far and I like the fighting mechanics.

Much better than the first one where I lost interest as was constantly getting ambushed by indestructible captains. Combat is better and more variety in the tasks.

Terrible idea. Like, worst ever. Could backlash badly if they go ahead with it.

It won't. People will buy it.

If you'd had told me people in their millions would mindlessly tolerate microtransactions and loot boxes in £60 games, I'd have laughed - but the truth is people just adjust to what is the status quo.

Nobody in their right mind should be buying Shadow of War full price, for example, but they will and indeed are.

Right. That is beyond unnecessary.
Yup.

You can earn the currency it game but in a limited weekly manner basically, or just outright buy them for £££.

Tbh, I completely agree with the Overwatch loot box system where it's online but all purely cosmetic. Boxes are easy to earn by simply playing the game, buying them is utterly pointless and quite frankly just vain in most cases.

Shadow of war is definitely worth the full price, it's just a joke the loot boxes can be bought with real money instead of only in game currency, considering it's single player only.

Having said this....if GT Sport gets good scores and I like the look of it’s career mode then it could get traded in!

Really wondering if GT Sport will be worth getting for the single player mode or not?

Looks so focused on multi player and I can’t be arsed with that.

Early reviews of GT Sport confirm exactly what I feared.

No interesting single player mode. Why do they do this? I get online gaming us huge, but surely so is single player career type modes?

Irritated as it 'looks' decent.

Probably right mate.

It’s like GT Sport is being aimed at eGaming mings when I just want to win a fake championship when I feel like it.

Not wait around for people to turn up online when I want to race.

It’s gash.

Having said all this, playing Project Cars 2 last night pi$$ed me off so much I traded it in today for GT Sport.

Only played a little but it’s very different to any driving game I’ve ever played (a lot!) and I think I’m going to love it!

Just gota raspberry pi 3 and put retropie with the comic book theme and video previews on it. kin amazing. exactly what I was looking for. also put Raspbian on for the kids to do their homework and kodi and also Rasplex in a quad boot. put a 32gb sd card in and have all the games and video previews on a 64gb usb micro drove. smoth as anything and over 8000 games.

Blizzard were good for this with WoW too. Cash money for cosmetic junk. Fully happy with that model, even if some skins/models are cash side only. Melting the face off someone that spent money feels the same to me as anyone else.

JUst wanted to pop in here before kick off and tell everyone that the GT Sport servers are down already.

Good job it’s not basically an online only game.

Oh.

Honestly think future generations will look back at people in our age and wonder what the hell we tolerated all this for.

I mean, I don't tolerate it, but everyone else seems to.

Seriously though, people pay money for this sort of thing? I feel like an old person rambling about "the youth of today" but... at the very least if you buy a game you should be able to play the game right? That's not an old fashioned view?
