The Saga of the Swamp Thing #21 : The Anatomy Lesson

Maus is genuinely one of the best things I've read, my ex had it and after picking it up I must have read it in 2 days, brilliant haunting stuff

Yeah, it's incredible. I ended up reading it in one sitting, all through the night and finishing around 8am the next morning. Took me a while to get over it.

Teaching it was interesting: I had four or five Polish students in the room who took exception to Poles being depicted as pigs. I was just like "Yeah, weird..."

it is also concrete proof that cats are evil

Great issues of comics I've read..

The Invisibles #12 : Empathy for the Henchman

Invisibles was an excellent comic. I still have my invisibles badge and every issue. Did you see all the references in Stranger Things?

I might dig it out one day and read it again.

Another rip snorter of a comic. I had a Fat Freddy's Cat t-shirt that I wore into oblivion. An oblivion of rock burns and age. By the end it was no more than a wisp of misshapen fabric with a couple of threads holding it together. I was devastated to come back one day to see it being used as a duster.

Highly traumatic. But what a t-shirt.

It was great - but Morrison really is the worst at endings though! No I didn't catch any references, what were they?

Sandman #6 : 24 Hours

Over the course of 24 horrific hours, Dr. Destiny unleashes impossibly dark terror on six unsuspecting people in a small-town diner. Armed with Morpheus' Dreamstone, Destiny can rearrange time and space and does so to dreadful ends in this eerie, nearly standalone issue.
