The fact that Harry Catterick selected him to make his debut against Inter Milan at the San Siro speaks volumes! Memorable scorer of the winner against Man Utd in the 1966 FA Cup semi at Burnden Park; in fact so many memories. One of my all time favourite players with Bally and Howard. A winner, an Evertonian and a gentleman. Great to see he has received such an award - richly deserved!!

Proper Everton man.

Often bump in to him on a Sunday at the Stanley Arms in Aughton, sat at the end of the bar. Always approachable and loves talking Everton.

Is he still in good health Lee?

Can’t help feeling that he looks slightly vacant in those pics.
Might just be the effects of a couple of bevvies I suppose.

He is noticeably more frail mate, not sure if he has any underlying health issues or it is just old age creeping in and becoming more apparent. He has always been a quiet man.

...marvellous player who I was able to watch throughout his playing days but he was also a top coach.

He worked alongside Howard Kendall but was also amazingly effective as a coach at youth level. Says a lot when a player like Graham Sharp wins his first full international cap and gives it to Colin Harvey.
