I watched Coleman play at right full for the Republic last night and he did very well, I know it was only Oman he was up against but the main thing was he looked comfortable in that position, looks like he's finally regaining that spark he had when he burst onto the scene a couple of years back, I've a feeling that he may get his opportunity at full back fairly soon, maybe even for the newcastle game, thoughts?

In principal its a good idea, in theory and the premier league, it doesn't work!

he's impressed me so far this season with his cameos. i can see why moyes doesn't want both full backs as bombers down the wings because that could cause defensive problems, but against teams like wigan who would happily come for a point it has to be used, otherwise we may end up with frustrating 0-0's. against a team like man utd with young and nani/valncia on the wings it could prove to be a bit suicidal though. however, i can't defend moyes on this one because he hasn't even given it a try

Of any position on the pitch, modern full-backs have more space and time to attack than any other. For me the balance of that position is now 60/40 in favour of attack.

Coleman's not a great player but he's a bigger attacking threat than Hibbert and he's shown in small flashes that he can be a big threat coming from deep(Spurs). If hibbert loses another yard of pace than we will see a lot more wingers getting the better of him and then Seamus should get his chance.

he started right back but only in the second half when he was pushed into midfield did he looks irelands best player think at this stage we should accept hes a right sided midfielder who can in an emergency cover right full!!!!

He's been good this season. Give him his chance, he doesnt look like dissapointing, and he is looking hungry again

he did ok against L.Orient and seeing as his main competitors are Hibbo and Neville then if he was any good at full back he should be nailing that place down.

basically what we have now, but two wingbacks, 2 holding mids, and heitinga playing a little further back just in front of the centre backs. Something like that I think would work fine in the premier league

It's ludicrous how little chance Moyes has given him to establish himself at right back when we have a 35 year old **** house there who wouldn't look out of place in the Championship. I can't help but think Coleman would nail the position and be there for the next 10 years if Moyes ever actually gave him a chance. It's about time really becuase he's been found out massively in midfield
