Coleman

Moyes is moving him to RB slowly I think. At the Tamworth game he played RB and then I remember him briefly coming on as a sub right before he got injured at RB.

Can't wait to see Coleman back and bombing down the pitch as a RB :)

Coleman at RW is like straq at CF. Will work hi ass of for you, very rarely let you down but is just lacking in the quality you need in that position.

The time is upon us that Coleman needs to be blooded and ready to make that RB slot his. Apart from the big 6 teams, his deficiency's in defence would be minimal as apposed to the plus's of his attacking threat. The more he plays the better he will become defensively anyway.

Get him in there at RB... Baines and pienaar one side, Coleman and Donovan/drenthe on the other.....

Jesus how attacking would we be!!

I have to say I'ma bit puzzled why people seem so down on Coleman recently.

I've not seen him play badly, maybe I've missed it. I love his agression and runs forward.

Is he really so bad defensively???

I don't think he has played terribly at all. Not his best but his injuries can take the blame for that. Honestly I think he has improved a lot from the little we've seen of him this season. He's beating his man and making some great crosses. Defensively he hasn't look bad either.

The way we're playing, we're leaving Jelavic quite isolated. Coleman has doubled up with our right back and defended well, but it's been difficult for him to burst forward like we know he can. There isn't the same onus on him to play like a winger now either because of Pienaar, Drenthe and Gueye.

Not defensively, offense has been his issue:
1) Continues to dribble into bad alleys
2) Crossing has been poor
3) Creativity/through balls have been poor
4) Just no ideas out on the right

With all of that said, his injuries this year have been trying as folks have pointed out. Not ready to completely give up on him yet, but he's behind the pecking order of Drenthe and Gueye for me right now.

Wish we could see him at RB.

For me, Coleman should only play if we are up against a team with a full back that will bomb forward as we know he will work hard to track back. He's not nearly a clever enough football to fit into our team full time in midfield though.
