Donovan in for Cahill.

Drenthe right.

Barkley left.

Coleman bench.

i'd have barkley centre and donovan left. put yea i agree with the players on the pitch. coleman simply hasn't done it this term. touch doesn't look prem quality and doesn't get enough crosses in

So would I if we had a decent forward who could play up front on his own. Barkley at the moment wouldn't replace Rodwell or Fellaini. Not sure he's the type to play the Cahill role behind the striker.

I'd love to see:

RCM: Rodwell
DCM: Fellaini
LCM: Barkley

RW: Drenthe
ST: Saha
LW: Donovan

But that'd never happen with Moyes.

unfortunately not. drenthe and donno could even drop deep when not in possession and that could work for him. i still doubt it (plus i am a fan of 4-2-3-1 when used correctly. we did use it right for a spell but moyes seems to have gone back to a 4-4-2 with two holding cm's)

I'd give Coleman a rest if we can, he's not been the same this season and struggled towards the end of last season so using him as a impact sub might benefit him and us more.

I'm glad someone else is willing to admit it. Coleman and Cahill are both in need of a drop just to rest and focus. They are both just trying too hard but not producing. They need a drop, not as a punishment, but as a courtesy.

Unfortunately our squad is so thin and our results so poor that neither feels they have the luxury of sitting a game. Donovan should be able offer in form coverage for both. Hopefully by the time ld leaves again, both will be renewed and in form again.

I'd love to see:

Howard
Hibbert Jags. Distin. Baines
Felliani rodwell
Donovan. Barkley. Drenthe
Vellios

Let the creative 3 Donovan, barkley, and drenthe roam and push forward as much as possible (like a David silva). Vellios as a target man pushing the defense back and giving the 3 room to play.

Giving Coleman a game or two in place of hibbert. Saha could likely work in this format. Shoot, even big Vic could do a shift as that target man trying to buy space and bully the center backs when the pressure falls to the creative 3 to unlock the defense.

As poor as Seamus form has been so far this season , id still rather see him on the right than Billy or Leon on either wing , hoping both Jack and Drenthe start tomorrow .

i think thats a little unfair on seamus mate, he has done ok this season with no help on the right when attacking.
