I am just not convinced about him. 80% of the game he does nothing. Yes I've seen a few flash's of brilliance but other than that I see him as a really really bad weak link in the team.

The right hand side is still very very poor. I know we haven't really any other option than to play him out there atm but what gets me is the way some fans blow his trumpet far too much. He wouldn't get in any of the top 6 sides teams and if thats where we want to be we need to get players like him out of the starting 11.

In think his positioning defensively is weak. He dives in far to much and his passing is below average.
He's young yes...but for me he just hasn't got the minerals in his game to ever become a top class player. Hes got the pace to go past people but that is it!!

I think he needs to develop if he is going to be a great right back or great midfielder but considering this is his first full season with us I think he has largely been excellent. He has pace, an eye for goal and stamina. If he works on crossing and positional sense he has the ability to be something special.

The boy is a right back, and it says a lot when he seems to be our best option on right midfield for large parts of the season.
He gets on with it and doesn't complain. He's blue and he will get better.

Yes. Lots to learn, he has played almost 40 odd games, scoring 6 goals in his first full season. If you consider that poor, i hope he is even worse next season.

I just think he needs to learn the game hes still young seems very green a right back playing out of position aswell. seems moyes damned if he does play him and damned if he doesnt people moan for him to come on when he doesnt start he comes on and seems to do well and when he starts often is quite anonymous.

Exactly this.

He's going to be a marauding wing back and needs a proper wide midfielder in front of him. There's no doubting he's an exciting prospect but I agree that too many Blues are trumpeting him as the greatest thing since sliced bread; but that's only because we've had sod else to be excited about this season, with Rodwell being largely garbage and the season just being a trainwreck in general.

Should be playing some games at right back now, his future position. We shouldn't have to rely on this young lad to play on the right wing all the time.

It will do his confidence no good, but Moyes isn't the best at building players confidence.

I have no question of him being a decent asset for all of 60k. But when I hear some fans speaking of him in the mold of top quality premiership players it just makes me laugh. Whether he improves is another question. As a side looking to finish in the top 6 he just isn't the right player.

He'll be an excellent RB, but I've always said he's not a right midfielder. His strengths are in overlapping and receiving the ball from a midfielder, like Baines. Just without the ace delivery, but with more pace, so he can offer something a bit different.

He doesn't have the skill to beat his man as a winger, and as of yet his delivery isn't great, but with practice it will no doubt improve.

Totally agree, he runs a lot of the time with his head down, and his decision making isn't the best to say the least at times.

At times today one of them being today, I see him being employed as a second right back, as he has no impact going forward what so ever.

Was very effective when he first came into the team because he's direct and beats players without any real tricks, just by using his pace and quick change of direction, kinda the way Bale does
But i think he got worked out by a lot of opposition and they just started doubling up on him
He looks a little bit tired as well and youd have to expect that, hes had a lot of exposure this year for his first full season, and a lot of expectation is put on him to create for us at a young age
No doubt he will be a good player in a few years tho, whether it is at RB or RM

I don't think hes a starting 11 right back either. I'd rather have hibbo there tbh. He's a liabilty in and around the box Coleman. He dives in!

Once the kid learns how to tackle, he'll be our right sided Baines. He's not as good at crossing as Baines, but then again 97% of prem full backs and even wingers aren't. I think he's been a breath of fresh air, if we had a winger in front of him *cough N'Zogbia* then he'd be top class. Overlapping and doing people for pace all over the show, he's shown on a few occasions that if he's given half a yard he can steam past players into the box. Should be starting RB next year for me. Hibbert for the tougher games away from home though.
